Cracked Wheel Repair
Rimguard can weld cracked rims using high quality aluminum TIG welding. Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding, is an arc welding process that uses a tungsten electrode to produce the weld. The weld area is protected from contamination by an inert gas such as argon. Tig welding is more complex and difficult to master than most other welding techniques. At Rimguard, our crack repair team has been trained by a master certified tig welder specializing in aluminum wheels. We use top quality, Miller welding equipment. Joe and John make up the Rimguard crack repair team, they take great care to insure your wheels are safe for your family to ride on.
Some cracked wheels are unsafe to repair. If your wheel is cracked along the spoke of your rim, or the crack is to long, we will not repair it. Your safety is our main concern and our trained technicians will determine what is safe for repair and what is not. If your wheel is not repairable, we can locate you an O.E. Replacement Rim. If you have an aftermarket rim, you will need to contact the manufacturer for a replacement.
